The Terrible Truth:
Items in all sizes & genders are necessary since sexual violence can happen to anybody!
Build a Dignity Kit:
Survivors-in-need can access resources from kits through our 6 programs offered at our partnering service providers including but not limited to: medical SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) centers, legal service providers, shelters/group-homes/safehouses and Sexual Violence Service Providers located statewide.
Two important things you’ll need:
Items will be contained in a storage bag. The size of storage bag will depend on the size of the items used for a Dignity Kit. (Tips: roll garments with tape or a rubberband for compact packaging!) Please note: items must be new, toothbrushes must be packaged, and do not include money or personal notes.
Items from each kit will be going to survivors impacted by sexual violence. Our partnering agencies include but are not limited to: Medical SART facilities, Group Homes & Youth Shelters, County Education Centers, and more.
There is never a minimum for kits donated as each one is crucial to our mission. We encourage those seeking a community service opportunity or coordinating a philanthropy event to host a “Dignity Kit Drive”, contact us to learn how!
